Paul Moore
April 19, 1925 - June 9, 2004
Paul Willard Moore was born to Amos Moore and Edna Tiffiny on April 19, 1925 in Chicago, IL. Paul completed High School in 1943 at the age of 18. He then joined the Navy. He received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy in 1945 and returned to Chicago. Paul joined the staff at the Chicago Tribune as a pressman in 1948, where he worked for 41 years when he retired in 1989. Mr. Moore was a Mason and A Shirner. Paul was very proud of his Shirner heritage, as his brother Gale and his Father Amos were also Shirners. Paul Willard Moore made his transition over on Wednesday June 9th, 2004 at 6:45 pm as his dearest friend Oona sat holding his hand. Paul was preceded in death by his Mother Edna Tiffiny Moore, his Father Amos Moore, his Brother Gale Moore, of whom The Gale Moore Park is named after in Worth, IL. Paul Moore leaves to cherish his memory his girlfriend of 25 years Ms. Oona Knox of Chicago, IL. One niece Mrs. Christine Resch of Debuke, Iowa three nephews, Mr.John Moore and Mr. Harvey Moore and Mr. Charlie Moore all from Tampa, FL. He also leaves behind a host of great nieces and nephews in Florida and Iowa.
